Fine art photography is increasingly finding its place in the art scene – and prices are rising accordingly. Today, unique or vintage prints by well-known photographers can easily reach prices in the high 5 or even 6-digit dollar range. Such prices are usually paid by collectors. Anyone who needs pictures for their own home or office usually looks elsewhere.

His images cause a stir, shock and outrage: As a photographer, creative director and picture editor, Oliviero Toscani has made history and turned advertising communication on its head. An exhibition at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich is the first to encompass Toscani’s entire oeuvre and provides an opportunity to discuss social conventions and current issues such as gender, racism, ethics and aesthetics.

After 144 years, the construction of the Sagrada Familia, the monumental basilica by Antonio Gaudi, finally seems to be completed in 2026 – or at least for the time being. The organization responsible for the building writes on its website:”… the beginning of the final stage of construction kicked off with the completion of the towers of the Evangelists (November 2023) and work is currently under way on the Chapel of the Assumption and the tower of Jesus Christ. The Chapel of the Assumption is expected to be finished in 2025 and the tower of Jesus Christ, in 2026.”
