Deregistering in the municipality of residence and re-registering at the new place of residence

You can also deregister with your current municipality or re-register with the municipality you are moving to digitally. The obligation to register is 14 days from the date of the change of address. The use of eUmzugCH is voluntary and, according to the website, does not lead to any additional costs compared to going to the counter. However, not all communes are connected to this website yet. You may still have to register your move in accordance with the requirements of your new or old municipality of residence.

Comparis currently (2022) obtains its information from eleven Swiss real estate portals – including, ImmoScout24, or – and, according to its own information, currently has over 100,000 advertisements for rental properties (as of 20.10.22).
