It’s Blickfang time again.
03.11.2025BLICKFANG in Zurich will take place from 14 to 16 November at the Kongresshaus Zurich. This year, it will put Zurich design in the spotlight and transform the city into a hotspot for creative work. Around 200 designers from Switzerland and Europe will be presenting furniture, fashion, jewellery and home accessories — including over 40 labels from Zurich. All labels will be presenting their latest collections in person at the event — curated, hand-picked and available for purchase.
With over 5,000 design products, this year’s Blickfang will be the largest concept store in Switzerland. Those who want to not only see design, but also feel it, try it out and take it home with them will find a weekend full of inspiration, encounters and special pieces here.
Future Forward Award Zurich 2025
The courage to break new ground — that’s what the Future Forward Award, presented by BLICKFANG in collaboration with the D.E.S.1.G.N. Foundation, stands for. It honours young talents who are shaping the future of design with sustainable and innovative concepts. In 2025, the awards in Zurich will go to two labels that are shaking up the design world with their very own signature style: Valentino Scoussel and Designverse Zurich.
Zurich-based designer Valentino Scussel brings a palpable lightness to the design scene with his label. Together with local artisans in Switzerland and Italy, he creates furniture and lighting that celebrate individuality and transform spaces into creative meeting places.
Jean-Paul Brkovic is rethinking furniture with DESIGNVERSE Zurich: made from recycled plastics, stackable, durable and consistently sustainable. Produced in small series between Wales, Germany and Switzerland, the objects represent a quiet but radical form of design.
Competition for students — ideas that shape the future
BLICKFANG Zurich also sees itself as a stage for the youngest talents: in the 2025 student competition, up-and-coming designers present their concepts and prototypes to a large audience for the first time. This is where bold ideas for tomorrow’s living, working and lifestyle emerge.
Design students Sophia Ludwig and Oskar Poetsch translate their fascination with planetary orbits into furniture design. Their side table “Galactic” consists of a top made of recycled moulded fleece, whose indentations and notches create the impression of orbits.
With her project “Hängrum”, communication designer Julia Baisch brings a piece of nature back into urban homes. When folded up, the wall installation can be used as a coat rack and storage space, and when folded down, it transforms into a hammock or even a guest bed.
